What is the procedure on makeing my mvixbox my server? I have my domain name and my mvix box IP address. Domain was once hosted from another server but now i want it to be accessed from my MVIXBOX.

I still need a few more people to seed the usergroup.

One of the projects would be to port the Planex firmware to the Mvixbox.

This firmware isn't perfect either but more stable and without useless clutter features.

There is a NAS forum that has offered to set up a corner for the Mvixbox, and we may just get some expertise from the gurus there .

i left it as is after spend lots of hours on this issue.

as today i copy the movie to potable HD and plug it into the mx USB.

what i didnt tried yet though is to configure my W7 to support XP mode ...

- maybe thats the answer for the people on this blog regard the sharing problems with W7

- also i"l be happy to hear if the machine supports MKV files ?

this should be bumped again for all to see. can any one help with mvix box firmware update? my box is ver1.1, i have tried many times to update it to ver 1.1.1 but it won't update locked at ver1.1?? can anyone help how can i get it to work?

I bought my MVix 780HD one year ago. I would like to install an update on it, because I have several files with not supported formats (for example FLAC and MKV). By reading the existing topics I get the feeling that it is better for me to leave it like it is. Am I right ? Ouch
